Aeschynanthus Green Star is a charming trailing plant with glossy, deep green leaves and vibrantly colored flowers. Its trailing vines are ideal for hanging baskets or shelves. Green Star brings a tropical, lush character to any interior.
Watering Keep the substrate evenly moist – water when the top layer (approx. 1–2 cm) is dry. It does not tolerate complete drying out or waterlogging. Caution: Use room-temperature, standing water.
Light Prefers medium indirect to bright indirect light.
Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Also suitable for rooms with less natural light.
Temperature and Air
Ideal temperature: 18–26 °C.
Cold: Does not tolerate temperatures below 12 °C or drafts.
Humidity: Appreciates higher air humidity. During the heating season, we recommend a humidifier.
Fertilizing During the growing season (spring–summer), fertilize once a month with liquid houseplant fertilizer at half strength. Completely omit fertilization in winter.
Substrate and Repotting Requires a light, humus-rich, and well-draining substrate. Repot in spring when the roots fill the pot, always to a pot only one size larger.
Warning Aeschynanthus Green Star is non-toxic to pets and children.
