Aeschynanthus Marmoratus, also known as Marble Lipstich Vine, is a charming trailing plant with dark green leaves adorned with a light marbled pattern. Its trailing stems are ideal for hanging baskets or shelves. Marmoratus brings a tropical, lush character to any interior.
Watering Keep the substrate evenly moist – water when the top layer (approx. 1–2 cm) is dry. It does not tolerate complete drying out or overwatering. Caution: Use room temperature, standing water – chlorine and fluoride from tap water can cause brown leaf tips.
Light Prefers medium indirect to bright indirect light.
Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Also suitable for rooms with less natural light.
Temperature and Air
Ideal temperature: 18–26 °C.
Cold: Does not tolerate temperatures below 12 °C and drafts.
Humidity: Appreciates higher air humidity. During the heating season, we recommend a humidifier – dry air causes brown leaf tips.
Fertilizing During the growing season (spring–summer), fertilize once a month with liquid houseplant fertilizer at half strength. Omit fertilization completely in winter.
Substrate and Repotting Requires a light, humus-rich, and well-drained substrate – a peat mixture with perlite is ideal. Repot in spring when the roots fill the pot, always only one size larger.
Warning Aeschynanthus Marmoratus is non-toxic to pets and children – it is a safe choice for homes with animals.
