Agave Lophantha Quadricolor is a distinctive variety with leaves adorned by four colored stripes – hence the name Quadricolor. A central yellow stripe, light edges, and dark green side bands create a unique pattern. It is a compact, low-maintenance plant ideal for bright interiors.
Watering Water only when the substrate is completely dry – agave does not tolerate overwatering. In winter, water minimally, once every 4–6 weeks. Caution: Excess water in the saucer can cause root rot.
Light Requires bright direct or indirect light.
Ideal placement is on a south or west-facing window sill.
In insufficient light, it loses the intensity of its colored pattern.
Temperature and Air
Ideal temperature: 18–28 °C.
Cold: Does not tolerate temperatures below 5 °C.
Humidity: Prefers dry air.
Fertilization During the growing season (spring–summer), fertilize once every 4–6 weeks with fertilizer for cacti and succulents. Completely omit fertilization in winter.
Substrate and Repotting Use a well-draining substrate for cacti and succulents with added perlite or sand. Repot only when necessary.
Warning Agave has sharp leaf tips – place it out of reach of children. It can be slightly toxic if ingested.
