Aglaonema silver bay is an elegant houseplant with large, silvery-green leaves with dark green edges. It is one of the most resilient houseplants and is an ideal choice for beginners and busy growers.
Watering
Water only when the top half of the soil is dry. Aglaonema tolerates short dry spells, but overwatering leads to root rot. Use room temperature water.
Light
Very adaptable—tolerates partial shade and lower light intensity. It will maintain its beautiful silvery-green coloration in bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Temperature and Humidity
Ideal temperature: 18–26 °C. Sensitive to cold and drafts—avoid temperatures below 15 °C. Higher humidity is beneficial but not essential.
Fertilization
During spring and summer, fertilize every 14 days with liquid fertilizer for green plants. In winter, fertilize once a month or not at all.
Substrate
Use a light, well-draining potting mix for houseplants with added perlite for better drainage.
