Watering
Water when the top 2–3 cm of the substrate have dried out. Do not leave the root ball standing in water for extended periods, and always pour off any excess from the cover pot. Use room-temperature water.
Light
Provide bright, indirect light. Protect it from harsh midday sun, which can damage the lighter parts of the leaves in particular.
Temperature and humidity
It prefers a warm environment, around 18–25 °C, without cold drafts. Protect it from temperatures below 15 °C and from dry air directly next to a heater.
Fertilizing
During active growth, feed with a weaker dose of houseplant fertilizer according to the manufacturer's instructions. Reduce feeding when growth slows.
Substrate and repotting
Use an airy, well-draining substrate with perlite and a pot with drainage holes. Repot according to how densely the roots have filled the pot, preferably in spring.
