Watering
Water regularly as soon as the top 2-3 cm of the substrate dries out. Alocasia requires consistent moisture but dislikes stagnant water at its roots. Reduce watering in winter.
Light
Prefers bright, indirect light. Direct midday sun can cause leaf scorch. An ideal spot is near a window with morning sun or diffused light.
Temperature and Air
The optimal temperature is 18–28 °C. Protect it from temperatures below 15 °C and cold drafts. It appreciates higher air humidity – regular misting or a humidifier is suitable.
Fertilization
Fertilize every 2–4 weeks during the growing season (spring–summer) with liquid fertilizer for houseplants. Do not fertilize in winter.
Substrate
Use a well-draining substrate with added perlite or bark. Excellent drainage is crucial to prevent root rot.
