Aloe Arborescens, also known as the tree aloe, is a resilient and impressive succulent with medicinal properties. Its vibrant green rosette leaves and occasional red-orange flowers will make any interior a lively piece of nature.
Watering
Aloe Arborescens is a succulent – it tolerates less watering rather than more.
When to water: Water only after the substrate has completely dried out. Approximately once every 2 weeks in summer, even less in winter.
Beware of overwatering: Overwatering is aloe's biggest enemy – it leads to root rot.
Light
Placement: It loves direct or bright indirect light – ideally near a south or west-facing window.
Lack of light: In the shade, the leaves fade and the plant weakens.
Temperature and Air
Ideal temperature: 15–28 °C. It does not tolerate frost or prolonged cold below 5 °C.
Humidity: It tolerates dry air without problems – misting is not necessary.
Fertilizing and Growth
Fertilizing: Fertilize once a month during the growing season (spring–summer) with succulent fertilizer. Do not fertilize in winter.
Substrate
Composition: Use cactus and succulent substrate or mix regular substrate with sand in a 1:1 ratio.
Drainage: Drainage holes in the pot are essential.
