Anthurium Andreanum Livium Red Care
Anthurium Andreanum Livium Red is one of the most elegant houseplants. Its deep red, glossy flowers and dark green leaves bring a touch of tropical luxury to any interior.
Watering
When to water: Water regularly as soon as the top layer of substrate (approx. 2–3 cm) dries out. Anthurium does not tolerate overwatering or complete drying out.
Water: Use soft, standing water at room temperature.
Light
Placement: Requires bright, indirect light. Direct sun can scorch the leaves.
Lack of light: Will reduce flowering and slow down growth.
Temperature and Air
Ideal temperature: 18–25 °C. Sensitive to cold – must not be exposed to temperatures below 15 °C.
Humidity: Loves high humidity. Mist the leaves regularly or use a humidifier.
Fertilization and Growth
Fertilization: From spring to autumn, fertilize every 2 weeks with liquid fertilizer for flowering plants. Do not fertilize in winter.
Substrate
Composition: Well-draining substrate – a mixture for orchids or houseplants with perlite in a 2:1 ratio.
