Anthurium silver blush is an elegant houseplant with beautiful silver-green leaves. It brings a subtle, sophisticated atmosphere to any interior and is popular for its decorative appearance. Its glossy leaf surface reflects light and enlivens every corner of the room.
Watering Water moderately – only when the top layer of the substrate (approx. 2–3 cm) is dry. Anthurium does not tolerate overwatering or complete drying out. Warning: Do not let water stand in the saucer under the pot. Use room temperature, standing water.
Light It prefers bright, indirect light – an ideal placement is near an east or west-facing window.
Avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.
In insufficient light, the leaves lose their characteristic luster.
Temperature and Air
Ideal temperature: 18–25 °C.
Cold: Does not tolerate temperatures below 15 °C or drafts.
Humidity: Appreciates higher air humidity. Regularly mist the leaves or place the pot on a tray with moist pebbles. Do not mist directly onto the flowers.
Fertilizing During the growing season (spring–autumn), fertilize every 2–4 weeks with liquid fertilizer for houseplants at half concentration. Completely omit fertilization in winter.
Substrate and Repotting Requires a well-draining, airy substrate – a mix for aroids or orchids with perlite is ideal. Repot in spring, always into a pot only one size larger.
Warning Anthurium is toxic to pets and children. Keep out of their reach.
