Watering
From spring to autumn, keep the soil moderately moist and allow excess water to drain away. Water more sparingly in winter; do not leave the plant standing in water.
Light
It prefers a bright spot with indirect light or partial shade. Protect it from harsh direct sunlight.
Temperature and humidity
Grow it indoors in a frost-free environment, protected from cold draughts and hot, dry air near heaters.
Fertilising
During the growing season, feed according to the instructions for fertiliser for houseplants. Reduce feeding when growth slows.
Soil and repotting
Use a free-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage holes. Repot in spring as needed. Long shoots can be given support.
