Ctenanthe golden mosaic is a charming tropical plant with beautiful mosaic leaves in shades of green and golden yellow. Originating from the rainforests of Brazil, it creates a stunning decorative effect indoors.
Watering
Keep the substrate evenly moist, but not waterlogged. Water as soon as the soil surface begins to dry out slightly. Use soft, room-temperature water — Ctenanthe is sensitive to calcium and cold.
Light
Prefers partial shade to indirect light. Direct sun can bleach or burn the leaves. An ideal spot is several meters away from a window.
Temperature and Humidity
Ideal temperature: 18–26 °C. Avoid drafts and temperatures below 15 °C. Requires higher air humidity — regular misting or a terrarium/humidifier are suitable.
Fertilizing
During the growing season (spring–autumn), fertilize every 14 days with liquid fertilizer for tropical plants. Fertilize less often or not at all in winter.
Substrate
Use an airy, well-draining substrate — a mixture for tropical plants with added perlite is ideal.
