Caring for Cyperus Zumula

Cyperus Zumula is a charming houseplant with delicate, grass-like stems, resembling a miniature papyrus. It is ideal for humid environments and lovers of unusual houseplants.

Watering

Cyperus loves water — keep the substrate constantly moist; ideally, you can place the pot in a saucer with water. Never let the substrate dry out completely.

Light

It prefers bright, indirect light or partial shade. It can tolerate some direct sun, but not scorching midday rays.

Temperature and Air

The optimal temperature is 15–25 °C. It appreciates higher air humidity — regular misting or placement near water will help. Avoid cold drafts.

Fertilizing

Fertilize once every 4 weeks during the growing season with liquid fertilizer for houseplants. Do not fertilize in winter.

Substrate

Use a heavier, moisture-retaining substrate — a mix for bog or aquatic plants is suitable. Drainage is not necessary.
