Monstera Obliqua Leichtlinii is a rare and highly sought-after houseplant with characteristically perforated leaves. It is ideal for plant collectors and lovers of tropical species – its unique appearance will make an impression in any interior.
Watering Water moderately – only when the top layer of substrate (approx. 2-3 cm) is dry. Monstera does not tolerate overwatering. Note: Water must not stand in the saucer under the pot. Use room temperature, standing water.
Light Prefers bright, indirect light – an east or west-facing window is ideal.
Avoid direct midday sun, which can burn the leaves.
In insufficient light, growth will slow significantly, and leaves will be less perforated.
Temperature and Air
Ideal temperature: 18–25 °C.
Cold: Does not tolerate temperatures below 15 °C and drafts.
Humidity: Appreciates higher air humidity. Mist leaves regularly or place on a tray with moist pebbles.
Fertilizing During the growing season (spring–autumn), fertilize every 2–4 weeks with liquid houseplant fertilizer at half strength. Omit fertilizing completely in winter.
Substrate and Repotting Requires well-draining, airy substrate – an aroid mix with perlite or bark is ideal. Repot in spring, always only one pot size larger.
Warning Monstera is toxic to pets and children. Keep out of their reach.
