Sansevieria Diamond Green is a robust and exceptionally hardy houseplant with strong, upright leaves in a rich dark green color. It is ideal for beginners and busy growers – it tolerates neglect, low light, and irregular watering. It is one of the best air purifiers and is also perfect for office spaces.
Watering Water very sparingly – only when the substrate is completely dry (approx. 4–5 cm). Sansevieria stores water in its leaves. Caution: Overwatering is the biggest enemy of this plant – water must not stand in the saucer under the pot. In winter, water only once every 6–8 weeks.
Light It tolerates a wide range of light conditions – from deep shade to bright indirect light.
Avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.
It is one of the few plants suitable for darker corners of a room.
Temperature and Air
Ideal temperature: 18–25 °C.
Cold: It does not tolerate temperatures below 10 °C and drafts.
Humidity: Tolerates normal room humidity with no need for misting.
Fertilizing During the growing season (spring–autumn), fertilize once every 1–2 months with liquid fertilizer for succulents or houseplants at half concentration. Completely omit fertilization in winter.
Substrate and Repotting It requires a well-draining, sandy substrate – a succulent mix with added perlite is ideal. Repot in spring, only when the roots fill the entire pot.
Warning Sansevieria is toxic to pets and children. Keep out of their reach.
