Sansevieria laurentii, also known as snake plant or "mother-in-law's tongue," is one of the most resilient houseplants. Its upright leaves with yellow edges are a striking decorative dominant feature in any interior.
Watering
Water sparingly and infrequently — Sansevieria is a succulent plant, and overwatering is its greatest enemy. Allow the substrate to completely dry out between waterings. In winter, watering once a month or less is sufficient.
Light
Extremely adaptable — it tolerates both direct sunlight and deep partial shade. It thrives best in bright indirect light, where it will maintain the yellow edges on its leaves.
Temperature and Humidity
Ideal temperature: 15–30 °C. It tolerates dry air without problems — no need to mist. Avoid temperatures below 10 °C and frost.
Fertilization
Fertilize sparingly — once a month during spring and summer with liquid fertilizer for succulents. Do not fertilize at all in winter.
Substrate
Use well-draining substrate for cacti and succulents or add perlite to regular houseplant substrate.
