Schefflera Charlotte is an impressive houseplant with elegant, woody stems and lush, glossy leaves. It's ideal as a dominant interior feature, bringing a tropical touch and lively atmosphere to any room.
Watering Water moderately – only when the top layer of the substrate (approx. 2–3 cm) is dry. Schefflera does not tolerate overwatering. Note: Water must not stand in the saucer under the pot. Use room-temperature, standing water.
Light Prefers bright, indirect light – ideal placement is near an east or west-facing window.
Avoid direct midday sun, which can scorch the leaves.
In insufficient light, leaves turn yellow and fall off.
Temperature and Air
Ideal temperature: 18–25 °C.
Cold: Does not tolerate temperatures below 12 °C or drafts.
Humidity: Tolerates average room humidity. During the heating season, occasional misting of the leaves is recommended.
Fertilizing During the growing season (spring–autumn), fertilize every 2–4 weeks with liquid houseplant fertilizer at half strength. Do not fertilize at all in winter.
Substrate and Repotting Requires well-draining, airy houseplant substrate with perlite. Repot in spring, always into a pot only one size larger.
Warning Schefflera is toxic to pets and children. Keep out of their reach.
